Wow. It feels like a year since I have seen most of you in the clinic, not a few months. I am excited to announce that Play It Forward Sports Therapy will be opening our doors again on June 1,2020. Online booking is now available. I am disappointed to announce that both of my colleagues David Whelan (Certified Athletic Therapist) and Matt Campbell (Osteopath) were forced to move back to their home countries as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. They are being missed greatly! NEW COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS While it is not possible to eliminate all risk, I will do my best to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19. A few policies and safety protocol have been put in place so that I can continue to offer in person Athletic Therapy services. Please read below to understand fully. Firstly, if you have: had any symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days (fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and new muscle aches or headache), been asked to self-isolate, been out of the country in the last 14 days, or been in contact with anyone that is confirmed case, please stay home, book virtually, and do not book an in person appointment. What to expect before your visit? There is now a mandatory Covid-19 pre-screening questionnaire to be complete before EACH appointment. This will be sent out 12hrs prior to every appointment booked. It will be sent via email. You need to fill this out for your appointment to proceed. Please arrive at your booked appointment time no earlier than 5 minutes prior. This allows me to complete cleaning/sanitizing tasks and also to minimize the potential contact between clients. Don’t bring anyone with you. If you need to bring a child or spouse along, please give me a call or text. I am currently scheduling 15 minutes between each client to lessen person to person interaction and to clean efficiently before next patient arrives. As a practitioner, I will cancel your appointment if I experience any COVID-19 symptoms. What to expect during your visit? I will provide hand sanitizer for you upon entering and prior to leaving the treatment room. The washroom is for emergency use only. What will be the same as before? Your treatment will be as amazing as always! Accepted payment methods include credit card and e-transfers. No cash or cheque payments will be accepted at this time. Cleaning protocols: After every client I will be: Washing hands Changing all sheets and towels Cleaning and sanitizing all the highly touched surfaces/areas in the clinic (entrance area, desk, chairs, exercise balls, foam rollers, doorknobs, shelves, computer, printer, etc.) Cleaning and sanitizing all tools used during treatment Washing hands again Everyday cleaning will include: Vacuuming and washing the floor Cleaning the bathroom Laundry – washing all towels, pillow cases and sheets in hot cycle.
